Sculptureum

The Sculptureum Experience

Recommended viewing time: 1.5-2 hours

There are four parts to Sculptureum.

The first part is “The Garden of Creative Diversity”. This Garden has a one-way path system which winds through different gardens. There’s a Classical Garden, a Reflective Garden, an Inspirational Garden and other areas of specialist interest. It also has some animals (birds, rabbits, tortoises and turtles).

The second part has five art galleries. Gallery No 1 has the best display of international glass art in the southern hemisphere.

Gallery No 2 has figurative works by many famous artists.

Gallery No 3 has sculptures of animals in all sorts of different materials.

Galleries 4 and 5 have a wide variety of other works.

Part Three of Sculptureum is The Palm Garden. This Garden has works that are mainly made of glass, metal and ceramics.

Part Four is the famous Pink Snail Garden. This has works that are mainly made of colourful plastic, including the famous huge Pink Snails.

The last part of the Sculptureum experience is a Gallery with a two metre high work in coloured glass by the world’s most famous glass artist today, the American Dale Chihuly. This is currently the best piece of glass art on display in the southern hemisphere.

We recommend allowing 2 hours for your walk (total length 1.4km across accessible, flat pathways) and you’re welcome to stop for lunch at one of our dining options during your self-guided tour.
